Open Water
Your underwater adventure begins! Imagine watching the water level move up your mask as you slowly go below the surface - and continue to breathe! It's the most exciting feeling imaginable and is yours when you become a scuba diver!
Open Water Scuba Diver is our entry level scuba certification course. During the Open Water Scuba Diver course you will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills to safely scuba dive. When you complete your class you will be free to explore and discover the many wonders of the underwater world, and you will have earned your Open Water Scuba Diver certification.

The Open Water Scuba Diver course is a lifetime certification that allows you to enjoy scuba diving throughout the world. Our course has two classroom sessions, four pool sessions and five open water dives. The course is usually done over two weeks with the dives on a weekend. Open water check out dives are scheduled at the end of each scuba diver course. In the warmer months (May - October) we do the check out dives at a local quarry.

Materials: Online training program and app included
Course Schedule:
- 6 nights (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday for 2 week)
- The first and last night are classroom session.
- The other 4 nights are pool session.
Training:
- Online training (at-home study)
- 2 classroom training sessions
- 4 training sessions of confined water (pool)
Dives:
- 4 open water training/check-out dives usually on a Saturday and Sunday
- Once you and your instructor determine you are ready for the open water check-out dives, you can choose your check-out dive weekend.
- The open water check-out dives are $50 for the 4 dives.
Equipment:
- We provide all SCUBA and Snorkeling Gear, except wetsuit boots. We have a large selection of wetsuit boots here at NADCO-- students get 20% off.
